what is the wDO program?

WDO is a three-way agreement between Revenue NSW, the client and an approved WDO Work and Development Order sponsor. The WDO applicant agrees to undertake an activity in exchange for clearing their unpaid fines. Clients can do activities such as a TAFE course, treatment program, life skills course, or mentoring to help clear their unpaid fines.

As a part of Hope Care Ability Services support to the community we proudly nominated as an approved WDO sponsor, because we see ourselves as a part of the community and we have to offer help to the community members who is in need.

The WDO scheme helps people who:

  • Have a mental illness
  • Have an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment
  • Have a serious addiction to drugs, alcohol or volatile substances
  • Are homeless
  • Are in acute economic hardship.
