What is Home Support?
Program participants are assisted with home-associated activities that the member cannot make solely. Activities involve and are not limited to cleaning, cooking, bathing, and other household chores. Service providers collaborate with them to ensure their independence. Help with daily duties, home modifications, transportation, social support, and nursing care are all examples of support.
Who is Eligible?
The service is provided to people with intellectual, bodily, intellectual, mental, and emotional disabilities. Early support can also be offered for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delays. Eligibility requirements: - Australian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Special Category Visa holder - Lives in Australia - Aged 7 to 65 - Have a permanent disability - You commonly require customized support to complete your or your child’s daily life activities Eligibility for children younger than 7 years, needs you to contact your early childhood partner in your area after speaking to your doctor or healthcare professional. Thereafter, you present the disability evidence and how long would it last, permanently, or temporarily, to align conformity with the NDIS requirement. Afterward, you take the same path of application and prerequisites for the age group of 7 to 65.
How does Home Support Work?
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides services and funds support for people who have permanent and major disabilities. Service providers charge; based on the NDIS price plan.
